^(A)“You are righteous, ^[a]O Lord,
The One ^(B)who is and who ^[b]was and who is to be,
Because You have judged these things.
⁶ For ^(C)they have shed the blood ^(D)of saints and prophets,
^(E)And You have given them blood to drink.
^[c]For it is their just due.”

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
The One ^(A)who is and who was ^[a]and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power ^(B)and reigned.
¹⁸ The nations were ^(C)angry, and Your ^[b]wrath has come,
And the time of the ^(D)dead, that they should be judged,
And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
And those who fear Your name, small and great,
And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

¹⁵ For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, ^(A)whose name is Holy:
^(B)“I dwell in the high and holy place,
^(C)With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
^(D)To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
