⁷ Let the assembled peoples gather around you,
    while you sit enthroned over them on high.^(A)

²     for true and just are his judgments.^(A)
He has condemned the great prostitute^(B)
    who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.
He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”^(C)

²⁰ “Rejoice over her, you heavens!^(A)
    Rejoice, you people of God!
    Rejoice, apostles and prophets!
For God has judged her
    with the judgment she imposed on you.”^(B)

“You are just in these judgments,^(A) O Holy One,^(B)
    you who are and who were;^(C)
6 for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets,^(D)
    and you have given them blood to drink^(E) as they deserve.”

“Yes, Lord God Almighty,^(G)
    true and just are your judgments.”^(H)

“We give thanks^(A) to you, Lord God Almighty,^(B)
    the One who is and who was,^(C)
because you have taken your great power
    and have begun to reign.^(D)
18 The nations were angry,^(E)
    and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,^(F)
    and for rewarding your servants the prophets^(G)
and your people who revere your name,
    both great and small^(H)—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

¹⁵ For this is what the high and exalted^(A) One says—
    he who lives forever,^(B) whose name is holy:
“I live in a high^(C) and holy place,
    but also with the one who is contrite^(D) and lowly in spirit,^(E)
to revive the spirit of the lowly
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.^(F)

⁶ Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;^(A)
    though lofty, he sees them^(B) from afar.

⁵ Who is like the Lord our God,^(A)
    the One who sits enthroned^(B) on high,^(C)
6 who stoops down to look^(D)
    on the heavens and the earth?

⁴ Mightier than the thunder^(A) of the great waters,
    mightier than the breakers^(B) of the sea—
    the Lord on high is mighty.^(C)
