³⁴ When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing^(A) to the sound of timbrels!^(B) She was an only child.^(C) Except for her he had neither son nor daughter.

⁸ David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before God, with songs and with harps, lyres, timbrels, cymbals and trumpets.^(A)

²⁰ Then Miriam^(A) the prophet,^(B) Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels^(C) and dancing.^(D)

² And I saw what looked like a sea of glass^(A) glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious^(B) over the beast^(C) and its image^(D) and over the number of its name.^(E) They held harps^(F) given them by God ³ and sang the song of God’s servant^(G) Moses^(H) and of the Lamb:^(I)

² And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters^(A) and like a loud peal of thunder.^(B) The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.^{(C) 3} And they sang a new song^(D) before the throne and before the four living creatures^(E) and the elders.^(F) No one could learn the song except the 144,000^(G) who had been redeemed from the earth.
