⁵ that certain men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, eighty men ^(A)with their beards shaved and their clothes torn, having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to ^(B)the house of the Lord.

The Ark Placed in the Tabernacle^(A)

16 So ^(B)they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. ² And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, ^(C)he blessed the people in the name of the Lord. ³ Then he distributed to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins.

¹⁷ So ^(A)they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in ^(B)its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David ^(C)offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. ¹⁸ And when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, ^(D)he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts. ^19 (E)Then he distributed among all the people, among the whole multitude of Israel, both the women and the men, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed, everyone to his house.

¹³ And so it was, when ^(A)those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed ^(B)oxen and fatted sheep.

¹⁴ And he shall present his offering to the Lord: one male lamb in its first year without blemish as a burnt offering, one ewe lamb in its first year without blemish ^(A)as a sin offering, one ram without blemish ^(B)as a peace offering,
