    and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.^(A)

    the generation of the upright will be blessed.^(A)

    and joy for the upright in heart.^(A)

² As smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
    as wax melts before the fire,
    let the wicked perish before God.^(A)
3 But let the righteous be joyful;
    let them exult before God;
    let them be jubilant with joy.^(B)

³ He put a new song in my mouth,
    a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
    and put their trust in the Lord.^(A)

²⁰ O guard my life and deliver me;
    do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
