Urgent Prayer for the Restored Favor of God^(A)

¹² from ^[a]Syria, from Moab, from the people of Ammon, from the ^(A)Philistines, from Amalek, and from the spoil of Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

¹³ And David made himself a ^(B)name when he returned from killing ^(C)eighteen thousand ^[b]Syrians in ^(D)the Valley of Salt.

³ David also defeated Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of ^(A)Zobah, as he went to recover ^(B)his territory at the River Euphrates.

¹² Moreover ^(A)Abishai the son of Zeruiah killed ^(B)eighteen thousand ^[a]Edomites in the Valley of Salt. ^13 (C)He also put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.

²⁰ So David went to ^(A)Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place ^[a]Baal Perazim.

³ And ^(A)David ^[a]defeated ^[b]Hadadezer king of Zobah as far as Hamath, as he went to establish his power by the River Euphrates.
