¹⁸ He rescues me unharmed
    from the battle waged against me,
    even though many oppose me.

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
³⁵ until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet.”’^[a](F)

¹⁰ All the nations surrounded me,
    but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.^(A)
11 They surrounded me^(B) on every side,^(C)
    but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
¹² They swarmed around me like bees,^(D)
    but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;^(E)
    in the name of the Lord I cut them down.^(F)

³ He sends from heaven and saves me,^(A)
    rebuking those who hotly pursue me—^[a](B)
    God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.^(C)

² When the wicked advance against me
    to devour^[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
    who will stumble and fall.^(E)
3 Though an army besiege me,
    my heart will not fear;^(F)
though war break out against me,
    even then I will be confident.^(G)

⁶ I will not fear^(A) though tens of thousands
    assail me on every side.^(B)

⁷ Arise,^(C) Lord!
    Deliver me,^(D) my God!
Strike^(E) all my enemies on the jaw;
    break the teeth^(F) of the wicked.
