⁶ Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
    When God restores his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

⁷ Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!^(A)
    When the Lord restores^(B) his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

“‘I will restore the fortunes^(A) of Jacob’s tents^(B)
    and have compassion^(C) on his dwellings;
the city will be rebuilt^(D) on her ruins,
    and the palace will stand in its proper place.

⁴ Restore our fortunes,^[c](G) Lord,
    like streams in the Negev.^(H)

³² What answer shall be given
    to the envoys^(A) of that nation?
“The Lord has established Zion,^(B)
    and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.^(C)”

⁶ Shout aloud and sing for joy,^(A) people of Zion,
    for great^(B) is the Holy One of Israel^(C) among you.^(D)”

“I will praise^(B) you, Lord.
    Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away^(C)
    and you have comforted^(D) me.
² Surely God is my salvation;^(E)
    I will trust^(F) and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself,^(G) is my strength^(H) and my defense^[a];
    he has become my salvation.^(I)”
³ With joy you will draw water^(J)
    from the wells^(K) of salvation.

⁴⁶ He caused all who held them captive
    to show them mercy.^(A)

⁴⁷ Save us,^(B) Lord our God,
    and gather us^(C) from the nations,
that we may give thanks^(D) to your holy name^(E)
    and glory in your praise.

⁴⁸ Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.

Let all the people say, “Amen!”^(F)
