Psalm 51:10-17

New American Standard Bible

^10 (A)Create ^[a]in me a ^(B)clean heart, God,
And renew a ^(C)steadfast spirit within me.
^11 (D)Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your ^(E)Holy Spirit from me.
¹² Restore to me the ^(F)joy of Your salvation,
And sustain me with a ^(G)willing spirit.
¹³ Then I will ^(H)teach wrongdoers Your ways,
And sinners will ^[b]be ^(I)converted to You.

¹⁴ Save me from ^(J)the guilt of bloodshed, God, ^(K)the God of my salvation;
Then my ^(L)tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.
¹⁵ Lord, ^[c](M)open my lips,
So that my mouth may ^(N)declare Your praise.
¹⁶ For You ^(O)do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it;
You do not take pleasure in burnt offering.
¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a ^(P)broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise.
