⁴ For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
    with you, evil people^(A) are not welcome.

⁵ The Lord examines the righteous,^(A)
    but the wicked, those who love violence,
    he hates with a passion.^(B)

¹³ Surely the righteous will praise your name,^(A)
    and the upright will live^(B) in your presence.^(C)

²¹ When you did these things and I kept silent,^(A)
    you thought I was exactly^[a] like you.
But I now arraign^(B) you
    and set my accusations^(C) before you.

¹⁵ proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
    he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.^(A)”
