The New Jerusalem^(A)

⁹ Then one of ^(B)the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came ^[a]to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you ^(C)the ^[b]bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

¹⁹ Bathsheba therefore went to King Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her and ^(A)bowed down to her, and sat down on his throne and had a throne set for the king’s mother; ^(B)so she sat at his right hand.

² Then I, ^[a]John, saw ^(A)the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared ^(B)as a bride adorned for her husband.

⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for ^(A)the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

²⁶ that He might ^[a]sanctify and cleanse her ^(A)with the washing of water ^(B)by the word, ^27 (C)that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, ^(D)not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

^24 (A)And the nations ^[a]of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor ^[b]into it.

^29 (A)He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but ^(B)the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.
