¹⁶ Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
    you will make them princes^(A) throughout the land.

¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests^(A) to serve our God,
    and they will reign^[a] on the earth.”^(B)

⁴ “Lift up your eyes and look about you:
    All assemble^(I) and come to you;
your sons come from afar,^(J)
    and your daughters^(K) are carried on the hip.^(L)
5 Then you will look and be radiant,^(M)
    your heart will throb and swell with joy;^(N)
the wealth^(O) on the seas will be brought to you,
    to you the riches of the nations will come.

⁴ “Do not be afraid;^(L) you will not be put to shame.^(M)
    Do not fear disgrace;^(N) you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth^(O)
    and remember no more the reproach^(P) of your widowhood.^(Q)
5 For your Maker^(R) is your husband^(S)—
    the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One^(T) of Israel is your Redeemer;^(U)
    he is called the God of all the earth.^(V)

²¹ Then you will say in your heart,
    ‘Who bore me these?^(A)
I was bereaved^(B) and barren;
    I was exiled and rejected.^(C)
    Who brought these^(D) up?
I was left^(E) all alone,^(F)
    but these—where have they come from?’”

“See, I will beckon to the nations,
    I will lift up my banner^(H) to the peoples;
they will bring^(I) your sons in their arms
    and carry your daughters on their hips.^(J)
