² For you are ^(A)the God in whom I take refuge;
    why have you ^(B)rejected me?
Why do I ^(C)go about mourning
    because of the oppression of the enemy?

⁹ I say to God, ^(A)my rock:
    “Why have you forgotten me?
^(B)Why do I go mourning
    because of the oppression of the enemy?”

⁷ The Lord is my strength and ^(A)my shield;
    in him my heart ^(B)trusts, and I am helped;
my heart exults,
    and with my ^(C)song I give thanks to him.

^12 (A)I will make them strong in the Lord,
    and ^(B)they shall walk in his name,”
declares the Lord.

³¹ but ^(A)they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings ^(B)like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint.

⁷ O Lord, my Lord, ^(A)the strength of my salvation,
    you have covered my head in the day of battle.
