⁶ I said,^[a] “Let me remember my ^(A)song in the night;
    let me ^(B)meditate in my heart.”
    Then my spirit made a diligent search:

⁶ By ^(A)steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for,
    and by ^(B)the fear of the Lord one ^(C)turns away from evil.

^7 (A)Be not wise in your own eyes;
    ^(B)fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

⁶ when I remember you ^(A)upon my bed,
    and meditate on you in ^(B)the watches of the night;

^10 (A)“Be still, and know that I am God.
    ^(B)I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth!”

²⁸ And he said to man,
‘Behold, ^(A)the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
    and to ^(B)turn away from evil is understanding.’”
