Save me(A) from all my transgressions;(B)
    do not make me the scorn(C) of fools.
I was silent;(D) I would not open my mouth,(E)
    for you are the one who has done this.(F)
10 Remove your scourge from me;
    I am overcome by the blow(G) of your hand.(H)
11 When you rebuke(I) and discipline(J) anyone for their sin,
    you consume(K) their wealth like a moth(L)
    surely everyone is but a breath.(M)

12 “Hear my prayer, Lord,
    listen to my cry for help;(N)
    do not be deaf(O) to my weeping.(P)
I dwell with you as a foreigner,(Q)
    a stranger,(R) as all my ancestors were.(S)
13 Look away from me, that I may enjoy life again
