⁹ For those who are evil will be destroyed,^(A)
    but those who hope^(B) in the Lord will inherit the land.^(C)

²¹ Then all your people will be righteous^(A)
    and they will possess^(B) the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,^(C)
    the work of my hands,^(D)
    for the display of my splendor.^(E)

¹³ They will spend their days in prosperity,^(A)
    and their descendants will inherit the land.^(B)

¹³ When you cry out^(A) for help,
    let your collection of idols save^(B) you!
The wind will carry all of them off,
    a mere breath will blow^(C) them away.
But whoever takes refuge^(D) in me
    will inherit the land^(E)
    and possess my holy mountain.”^(F)

²⁹ The righteous will inherit the land^(A)
    and dwell in it forever.^(B)

²³ But you, God, will bring down the wicked
    into the pit^(A) of decay;
the bloodthirsty and deceitful^(B)
    will not live out half their days.^(C)

But as for me, I trust in you.^(D)

¹¹ But the meek will inherit the land^(A)
    and enjoy peace and prosperity.^(B)

¹² The wicked plot^(C) against the righteous
    and gnash their teeth^(D) at them;

¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests^(A) to serve our God,
    and they will reign^[a] on the earth.”^(B)

²¹ For the upright will live in the land,^(A)
    and the blameless will remain in it;
