21 (A)Your people shall all be righteous; (B)they shall possess the land forever, (C)the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified.[a]
13 (A)When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you! The wind will carry them all off, a breath will take them away. (B)But he who takes refuge in me shall possess the land and shall inherit (C)my holy mountain.
23 But you, O God, (A)will cast them down into (B)the pit of destruction; men of (C)blood and treachery shall not (D)live out half their days. But I will (E)trust in you.
13 (A)“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage that (B)oppressors receive from the Almighty: 14 If his (C)children are multiplied, it is for (D)the sword, and his descendants have not enough bread. 15 Those who survive him the pestilence buries, and his (E)widows do not weep. 16 Though he (F)heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay, 17 he may pile it up, but the righteous will wear it, and (G)the innocent will divide the silver. 18 He builds his (H)house like a moth's, like (I)a booth that (J)a watchman makes. 19 He goes to bed rich, but will (K)do so no more; he opens his eyes, and (L)his wealth is gone. 20 (M)Terrors overtake him like (N)a flood; in the night a whirlwind (O)carries him off. 21 (P)The east wind lifts him up and he is gone; it (Q)sweeps him out of his place. 22 It[a] hurls at him (R)without pity; he flees from its[b] power in headlong flight. 23 It (S)claps its hands at him and (T)hisses at him from its place.
14 then you shall take delight in the Lord, (A)and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;[a] (B)I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, (C)for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
23 To fill his belly to the full, God[a] will send his burning anger against him and rain it upon him (A)into his body. 24 (B)He will flee from an iron weapon; (C)a bronze arrow will strike (D)him through. 25 It (E)is drawn forth and comes out of his body; (F)the glittering point comes out of his (G)gallbladder; (H)terrors come upon him. 26 Utter darkness is laid up for his treasures; (I)a fire not fanned will devour him; what is left in his tent will be consumed. 27 (J)The heavens will reveal his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him. 28 The possessions of his house will be carried away, dragged off in the day of God's[b] wrath. 29 (K)This is the wicked man's portion from God, (L)the heritage decreed for him by God.”
16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed (A)to be called their God, for (B)he has prepared for them a city.
35 (A)I have seen a wicked, ruthless man, spreading himself like (B)a green laurel tree.[a] 36 But he passed away,[b] and behold, (C)he was no more; though I sought him, he could not be found.
