¹³ but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
    for he knows their day is coming.^(A)

⁴ The One enthroned^(A) in heaven laughs;^(B)
    the Lord scoffs at them.

²⁶ I in turn will laugh^(A) when disaster^(B) strikes you;
    I will mock^(C) when calamity overtakes you^(D)—

²⁹ Despite false visions concerning you
    and lying divinations^(A) about you,
it will be laid on the necks
    of the wicked who are to be slain,
whose day has come,
    whose time of punishment has reached its climax.^(B)

²⁷ Kill all her young bulls;^(A)
    let them go down to the slaughter!^(B)
Woe to them! For their day^(C) has come,
    the time^(D) for them to be punished.

²⁰ People of the west are appalled^(A) at his fate;^(B)
    those of the east are seized with horror.
