    Awake, do not cast us off forever!^(A)

⁶ Rise up, O Lord, in your anger;
    lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies;
    awake, O my God;^[a] you have appointed a judgment.^(A)

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength,
    O arm of the Lord!
Awake, as in days of old,
    the generations of long ago!
Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces,
    who pierced the dragon?^(A)

⁵ I cry to you, O Lord;
    I say, “You are my refuge,
    my portion in the land of the living.”^(A)
