²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword,
    my precious life from the power of ^(A)the dog!
²¹     Save me from ^(B)the mouth of the lion!
You have rescued^[a] me from the horns of ^(C)the wild oxen!

    for ^(B)I am brought very low!
Deliver me from my persecutors,
    ^(C)for they are too strong for me!
^7 (D)Bring me out of prison,
    that I may give thanks to your name!
The righteous will surround me,
    for you will ^(E)deal bountifully with me.

    from sinking in ^(A)the mire;
^(B)let me be delivered from my enemies
    and from ^(C)the deep waters.
¹⁵ Let not the flood sweep over me,
    or the deep swallow me up,
