^18 (A)The Lord is near ^(B)to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as ^[a]have a contrite spirit.

^3 (A)He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their ^[a]wounds.

^18 (A)The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him ^(B)in truth.

61 “The ^(A)Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord ^(B)has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me ^(C)to ^[a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim ^(D)liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

^17 (A)The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

² For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
^(A)“But on this one will I look:
^(B)On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.

⁹ Surely ^(A)His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
^(B)That glory may dwell in our land.
