¹⁸ But the eyes^(A) of the Lord are on those who fear him,
    on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,^(B)

¹² For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
    and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”^[a](A)

¹¹ the Lord delights^(A) in those who fear him,^(B)
    who put their hope^(C) in his unfailing love.^(D)

⁷ He does not take his eyes off the righteous;^(A)
    he enthrones them with kings^(B)
    and exalts them forever.^(C)

¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord^(A) are on the righteous,^(B)
    and his ears are attentive^(C) to their cry;
¹⁶ but the face of the Lord is against^(D) those who do evil,^(E)
    to blot out their name^(F) from the earth.

¹⁷ The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears^(G) them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
¹⁸ The Lord is close^(H) to the brokenhearted^(I)
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

¹⁹ The righteous person may have many troubles,^(J)
    but the Lord delivers him from them all;^(K)
20 he protects all his bones,
    not one of them will be broken.^(L)

⁵ But I trust in your unfailing love;^(A)
    my heart rejoices in your salvation.^(B)

⁸ But I am like an olive tree^(A)
    flourishing in the house of God;
I trust^(B) in God’s unfailing love
    for ever and ever.

⁷ “Blessed are those
    whose transgressions are forgiven,
    whose sins are covered.
⁸ Blessed is the one
    whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”^[a](C)
