Psalm 29

A psalm of David.

Ascribe to the Lord,(A) you heavenly beings,(B)
    ascribe to the Lord glory(C) and strength.

    ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
    bring an offering(C) and come into his courts.(D)
Worship the Lord(E) in the splendor of his[a] holiness;(F)
    tremble(G) before him, all the earth.(H)

    to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength

“To him who sits on the throne(H) and to the Lamb(I)
    be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”(J)

14 The four living creatures(K) said, “Amen,”(L) and the elders(M) fell down and worshiped.(N)

16 Give glory(A) to the Lord your God
    before he brings the darkness,
before your feet stumble(B)
    on the darkening hills.
You hope for light,
    but he will turn it to utter darkness
    and change it to deep gloom.(C)
17 If you do not listen,(D)
    I will weep in secret
    because of your pride;
my eyes will weep bitterly,
    overflowing with tears,(E)
    because the Lord’s flock(F) will be taken captive.(G)

18 Say to the king(H) and to the queen mother,(I)
    “Come down from your thrones,
for your glorious crowns(J)
    will fall from your heads.”

32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth,(C)
    sing praise(D) to the Lord,
33 to him who rides(E) across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,
    who thunders(F) with mighty voice.(G)
34 Proclaim the power(H) of God,
    whose majesty(I) is over Israel,
    whose power is in the heavens.
