¹⁷ Anyone who resolves to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own.^(A)

True Disciples

³¹ Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, ³² and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”^(A)

²² They answered, “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous^[a] and God-fearing man who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish people, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say.”^(A)

²⁰ For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed.^{(A) 21} But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.”^[a](B)

¹³ The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments, for that is the whole duty of everyone.^(A)
