⁷ For the king trusts in the Lord;^(A)
    through the unfailing love^(B) of the Most High^(C)
    he will not be shaken.^(D)

⁸ I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,^(A) I will not be shaken.^(B)

⁴ I long to dwell^(A) in your tent forever
    and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.^[a](B)

⁷ Some trust in chariots^(A) and some in horses,^(B)
    but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.^(C)
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,^(D)
    but we rise up^(E) and stand firm.^(F)

² The Lord is my rock,^(A) my fortress^(B) and my deliverer;^(C)
    my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,^(D)
