² You have ^(A)given him his heart's desire
    and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

^4 (A)Delight yourself in the Lord,
    and he will ^(B)give you the desires of your heart.

⁸ Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
    and ^(A)the ends of the earth your possession.
⁹ You shall ^(B)break^[a] them with ^(C)a rod of iron
    and dash them in pieces like ^(D)a potter's vessel.”

⁶ he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
    to raise up the tribes of Jacob
    and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
^(A)I will make you ^(B)as a light for the nations,
    that ^(C)my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

⁸ Thus says the Lord:
^(G)“In a ^(H)time of favor I have answered you;
    in a day of salvation I have helped you;
I will keep you ^(I)and give you
    as a covenant to the people,
to establish the land,
    ^(J)to apportion the desolate heritages,
^9 (K)saying to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’
    to those who are in darkness, ‘Appear.’
^(L)They shall feed along the ways;
    on all bare heights shall be their pasture;
^10 (M)they shall not hunger or thirst,
    neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them,
for he who has pity on them ^(N)will lead them,
    and by springs of water will guide them.
^11 (O)And I will make all my mountains a road,
    and my highways shall be raised up.
^12 (P)Behold, these shall come from afar,
    and behold, ^(Q)these from the north and from the west,^[a]
    and these from the land of Syene.”^[b]

¹¹ My ^(A)eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;
    my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
