²⁸ It is you who light my lamp;
    the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.^(A)

³ when his lamp shone over my head,
    and by his light I walked through darkness,^(A)

²⁹ Indeed, you are my lamp, O Lord;
    the Lord lightens my darkness.^(A)

¹⁶ I will lead the blind
    by a road they do not know;
by paths they have not known
    I will guide them.
I will turn the darkness before them into light,
    the rough places into level ground.
These are the things I will do,
    and I will not forsake them.^(A)

¹⁶ the people who sat in darkness
    have seen a great light,
and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death
    light has dawned.”^(A)

⁷⁹ to shine upon those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
    to guide our feet into the way of peace.”^(A)

²⁷ The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord,
    searching every inmost part.^(A)

⁴ They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright;
    they are gracious, merciful, and righteous.^(A)

62 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
    and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
until her vindication shines out like the dawn
    and her salvation like a burning torch.^(A)
