¹⁹ He brought me out into a spacious place;^(A)
    he rescued me because he delighted in me.^(B)

⁵ When hard pressed,^(A) I cried to the Lord;
    he brought me into a spacious place.^(B)

⁸ You have not given me into the hands^(A) of the enemy
    but have set my feet in a spacious place.^(B)

³⁶ You provide a broad path^(A) for my feet,
    so that my ankles do not give way.^(B)

¹⁶ “He is wooing^(A) you from the jaws of distress
    to a spacious place^(B) free from restriction,^(C)
    to the comfort of your table^(D) laden with choice food.^(E)

²³ The Lord makes firm the steps^(A)
    of the one who delights^(B) in him;

¹⁸ He rescued^(A) me from my powerful enemy,
    from my foes, who were too strong for me.
¹⁹ They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
    but the Lord was my support.^(B)
20 He brought me out into a spacious^(C) place;
    he rescued^(D) me because he delighted^(E) in me.^(F)

²¹ “The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness;^(G)
    according to the cleanness^(H) of my hands^(I) he has rewarded me.
²² For I have kept^(J) the ways of the Lord;
    I am not guilty of turning from my God.
²³ All his laws are before me;^(K)
    I have not turned^(L) away from his decrees.
²⁴ I have been blameless^(M) before him
    and have kept myself from sin.
²⁵ The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,^(N)
    according to my cleanness^[a] in his sight.

²⁶ “To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
    to the blameless you show yourself blameless,
²⁷ to the pure^(O) you show yourself pure,
    but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.^(P)
