Psalm 44:3
New King James Version
3 For (A)they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword,
Nor did their own arm save them;
But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
(B)Because You favored them.
Psalm 10:12-16

12 Arise, O Lord!
O God, (A)lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the (B)humble.
13 Why do the wicked renounce God?
He has said in his heart,
“You will not require an account.”
14 But You have (C)seen, for You observe trouble and grief,
To repay it by Your hand.
The helpless (D)commits[a] himself to You;
(E)You are the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man;
Seek out his wickedness until You find none.

2 Kings 19:34
New King James Version
34 ‘For (A)I will (B)defend this city, to save it
For My own sake and (C)for My servant David’s sake.’ ”
1 Samuel 17:45-57
New King James Version
45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. (A)But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have (B)defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give (C)the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, (D)that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord (E)does not save with sword and spear; for (F)the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”
48 So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and (G)ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49 Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. 50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a (H)sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his (I)sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it.
And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, (J)they fled. 52 Now the men of Israel and Judah arose and shouted, and pursued the Philistines as far as the entrance of [a]the valley and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell along the road to (K)Shaaraim, even as far as Gath and Ekron. 53 Then the children of Israel returned from chasing the Philistines, and they plundered their tents. 54 And David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armor in his tent.
55 When Saul saw David going out against the Philistine, he said to (L)Abner, the commander of the army, “Abner, (M)whose son is this youth?”
And Abner said, “As your soul lives, O king, I do not know.”
56 So the king said, “Inquire whose son this young man is.”
57 Then, as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul (N)with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
