¹⁶ I pray that out of his glorious riches^(A) he may strengthen you with power^(B) through his Spirit in your inner being,^{(C) 17} so that Christ may dwell in your hearts^(D) through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted^(E) and established in love, ¹⁸ may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people,^(F) to grasp how wide and long and high and deep^(G) is the love of Christ, ¹⁹ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge^(H)—that you may be filled^(I) to the measure of all the fullness of God.^(J)

²⁰ Now to him who is able^(K) to do immeasurably more than all we ask^(L) or imagine, according to his power^(M) that is at work within us,

⁷ If you remain in me^(A) and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.^(B)

¹⁵ And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know^(A) that we have what we asked of him.^(B)

²⁴ Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive,^(A) and your joy will be complete.^(B)

¹⁶ You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you^(A) so that you might go and bear fruit^(B)—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.^(C)
