¹⁷ The Lord is righteous^(A) in all his ways
    and faithful in all he does.^(B)

⁴ He is the Rock,^(A) his works are perfect,^(B)
    and all his ways are just.
A faithful God^(C) who does no wrong,
    upright^(D) and just is he.^(E)

²¹ Declare what is to be, present it—
    let them take counsel together.
Who foretold^(A) this long ago,
    who declared it from the distant past?^(B)
Was it not I, the Lord?
    And there is no God apart from me,^(C)
a righteous God^(D) and a Savior;^(E)
    there is none but me.

⁶ The Lord works righteousness^(A)
    and justice for all the oppressed.^(B)

⁵ The Lord is gracious and righteous;^(A)
    our God is full of compassion.^(B)

⁴ The King^(D) is mighty, he loves justice^(E)—
    you have established equity;^(F)
in Jacob you have done
    what is just and right.^(G)
