⁶ Make the lightning flash and scatter them;
    send out your arrows and rout them.^(A)

²³ I will heap disasters upon them,
    spend my arrows against them:^(A)

¹³ The Lord also thundered in the heavens,
    and the Most High uttered his voice.^[a](A)
14 And he sent out his arrows and scattered them;
    he flashed forth lightnings and routed them.^(B)

⁴² I will make my arrows drunk with blood,
    and my sword shall devour flesh—
with the blood of the slain and the captives,
    from the long-haired enemy.’^(A)

¹⁷ The clouds poured out water;
    the skies thundered;
    your arrows flashed on every side.^(A)
18 The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
    your lightnings lit up the world;
    the earth trembled and shook.^(B)

⁵ Your arrows are sharp
    in the heart of the king’s enemies;
    the peoples fall under you.

¹² For you will put them to flight;
    you will aim at their faces with your bows.^(A)

¹² He made darkness around him a canopy,
    thick clouds, a gathering of water.^(A)
13 Out of the brightness before him
    coals of fire flamed forth.
