^6 (A)Flash forth the lightning and scatter them;
    ^(B)send out your arrows and rout them!

⁴² I will make my arrows drunk with blood,
    and ^(A)my sword shall devour flesh—
with the blood of the slain and the captives,
    from the ^(B)long-haired heads of the enemy.’

¹⁷ The clouds poured out water;
    the skies ^(A)gave forth thunder;
    your ^(B)arrows flashed on every side.
^18 (C)The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
    ^(D)your lightnings lighted up the world;
    the earth ^(E)trembled and shook.

⁵ Your arrows are sharp
    in the heart of the king's enemies;
    the peoples fall under you.

¹² For you will put them ^(A)to flight;
    you will ^(B)aim at their faces with your bows.

¹² He made ^(A)darkness around him ^(B)his canopy,
    thick clouds, a gathering of water.
¹³ Out of the brightness before him
    ^(C)coals of fire flamed forth.
^14 (D)The Lord thundered from heaven,
    and the Most High uttered his voice.
¹⁵ And he sent out ^(E)arrows and scattered them;
    lightning, and routed them.
