    who ^(B)touches the mountains and they smoke!

⁹ He ^(A)bowed the heavens and ^(B)came down;
    ^(C)thick darkness was under his feet.

    ^(B)and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah
His splendor covered the heavens,
    and the earth was full of his praise.

    rays flashed from his hand;
    and there he veiled his power.
^5 (D)Before him went pestilence,
    and plague followed ^(E)at his heels.^[a]
6 He stood ^(F)and measured the earth;
    he looked and shook the nations;
then the ^(G)eternal mountains ^(H)were scattered;
    the everlasting hills sank low.
    His were ^(I)the everlasting ways.

^3 (A)The Lord is slow to anger and ^(B)great in power,
    and ^(C)the Lord will by no means clear the guilty.
^(D)His way is in whirlwind and storm,
    and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
^4 (E)He rebukes the sea and makes it dry;
    he dries up all the rivers;
^(F)Bashan and ^(G)Carmel wither;
    the bloom of ^(H)Lebanon withers.
^5 (I)The mountains quake before him;
    ^(J)the hills melt;
the earth heaves before him,
    ^(K)the world and all who dwell in it.
