²⁴ The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.^{(A) 25} On no day will its gates^(B) ever be shut,^(C) for there will be no night there.^{(D) 26} The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.^{(E) 27} Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful,^(F) but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.^(G)

¹⁴ I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes^(A) and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.^{(B) 15} Therefore,

¹⁷ After that, we who are still alive and are left^(A) will be caught up together with them in the clouds^(B) to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord^(C) forever.

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back^(A) and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.^(B)
