¹⁵ but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea;^(A)
His love endures forever.

⁵³ He guided them safely, so they were unafraid;
    but the sea engulfed^(A) their enemies.^(B)

⁹ He sent his signs^(A) and wonders into your midst, Egypt,
    against Pharaoh and all his servants.^(B)

⁷¹ salvation from our enemies
    and from the hand of all who hate us—
⁷² to show mercy to our ancestors^(A)
    and to remember his holy covenant,^(B)
73     the oath he swore to our father Abraham:^(C)
74 to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,
    and to enable us to serve him^(D) without fear^(E)

¹² In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;^(A)
    destroy all my foes,^(B)
    for I am your servant.^(C)

⁶ Pour out your wrath^(A) on the nations
    that do not acknowledge^(B) you,
on the kingdoms
    that do not call on your name;^(C)
7 for they have devoured^(D) Jacob
    and devastated his homeland.

⁸ Do not hold against us the sins of past generations;^(E)
    may your mercy come quickly to meet us,
    for we are in desperate need.^(F)
9 Help us,^(G) God our Savior,
    for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
    for your name’s sake.^(H)

⁵ You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,^(A)
    God our Savior,^(B)
the hope of all the ends of the earth^(C)
    and of the farthest seas,^(D)

¹⁰ But you blew with your breath,^(A)
    and the sea covered them.
They sank like lead
    in the mighty waters.^(B)
11 Who among the gods
    is like you,^(C) Lord?
Who is like you—
    majestic in holiness,^(D)
awesome in glory,^(E)
    working wonders?^(F)

¹² “You stretch out^(G) your right hand,
    and the earth swallows your enemies.^(H)
13 In your unfailing love you will lead^(I)
    the people you have redeemed.^(J)
In your strength you will guide them
    to your holy dwelling.^(K)
