136 O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.

² O give thanks unto the God of gods, for His mercy endureth for ever.

³ O give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His mercy endureth for ever;

⁴ to Him who alone doeth great wonders, for His mercy endureth for ever;

⁵ to Him that by wisdom made the heavens, for His mercy endureth for ever;

⁶ to Him that stretched out the earth above the waters, for His mercy endureth for ever;

⁷ to Him that made great lights, for His mercy endureth for ever;

⁸ the sun to rule by day, for His mercy endureth for ever;

⁹ the moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endureth for ever;

¹⁶ When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth; but the righteous shall see their fall.

¹⁷ Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

¹⁸ Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

⁴⁴ Jesus cried out and said, “He that believeth in Me, believeth not in Me, but in Him that sent Me.

⁴⁵ And he that seeth Me, seeth Him that sent Me.

⁴⁶ I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth in Me should not abide in darkness.

⁴⁷ And if any man hear My words and believe not, I judge him not; for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

⁴⁸ He that rejecteth Me and receiveth not My words, hath One that judgeth him; the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the Last Day.

⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.

⁵⁰ And I know that His commandment is life everlasting. Whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”

⁹ And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?”

¹¹ And white robes were given unto every one of them, and it was said unto them that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants and also their brethren, who were to be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

¹² And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

¹³ and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when she is shaken by a mighty wind.

¹⁴ And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

¹⁶ and they said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb!

¹⁷ For the great Day of His wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?”
