⁹ But you are ^(A)a chosen race, ^(B)a royal ^(C)priesthood, ^(D)a holy nation, ^(E)a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you ^(F)out of darkness into ^(G)his marvelous light.

¹⁵ Yet ^(A)the Lord set his heart in love on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples, as you are this day.

¹⁷ “They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, ^(A)in the day when I make up ^(B)my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.

⁶ “For ^(A)you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be ^(B)a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. ⁷ It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples,

^10 (A)Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for ^(B)behold, I come ^(C)and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. ^11 (D)And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. ^(E)And I will dwell in your midst, and ^(F)you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. ^12 (G)And the Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again ^(H)choose Jerusalem.”
