⁸ I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me.^{(A) 9} And this city^[a] shall be to me a name of joy, a praise, and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them; they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.^(B)

⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, but we have rebelled against him^(A)

³⁹ then hear in heaven your dwelling place, forgive, act, and render to all whose hearts you know—according to all their ways, for only you know the human heart^(A)— ⁴⁰ so that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land that you gave to our ancestors.^(B)

¹⁴ in whom we have redemption,^[a] the forgiveness of sins.

¹⁹ that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,^[a] not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.^(A)

⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace^(A)
