⁴ We have endured no end
    of ridicule from the arrogant,
    of contempt from the proud.

⁵ Those who are at ease have contempt^(A) for misfortune
    as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.^(B)

²⁹ “We have heard of Moab’s pride^(A)—
    how great is her arrogance!—
of her insolence, her pride, her conceit
    and the haughtiness^(B) of her heart.

¹¹ “Moab has been at rest^(A) from youth,
    like wine left on its dregs,^(B)
not poured from one jar to another—
    she has not gone into exile.
So she tastes as she did,
    and her aroma is unchanged.
