⁸ But my eyes are fixed^(A) on you, Sovereign Lord;
    in you I take refuge^(B)—do not give me over to death.

⁴ The One enthroned^(A) in heaven laughs;^(B)
    the Lord scoffs at them.

⁴ The Lord is in his holy temple;^(A)
    the Lord is on his heavenly throne.^(B)
He observes everyone on earth;^(C)
    his eyes examine^(D) them.

¹⁵ My eyes are ever on the Lord,^(A)
    for only he will release my feet from the snare.^(B)

¹⁵ For this is what the high and exalted^(A) One says—
    he who lives forever,^(B) whose name is holy:
“I live in a high^(C) and holy place,
    but also with the one who is contrite^(D) and lowly in spirit,^(E)
to revive the spirit of the lowly
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.^(F)
