⁸ Their tongue^(A) is a deadly arrow;
    it speaks deceitfully.
With their mouths they all speak cordially to their neighbors,^(B)

⁶ When one of them comes to see me,
    he speaks falsely,^(A) while his heart gathers slander;^(B)
    then he goes out and spreads^(C) it around.

⁸ whose mouths are full of lies,^(A)
    whose right hands^(B) are deceitful.^(C)

⁷ His mouth is full^(A) of lies and threats;^(B)
    trouble and evil are under his tongue.^(C)

⁹ Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
    their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;^(A)
    with their tongues they tell lies.^(B)

³ Do not drag me away with the wicked,
    with those who do evil,
who speak cordially with their neighbors
    but harbor malice in their hearts.^(A)
