⁹ For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

²⁵ This is what the Lord says: ‘If I have not made my covenant with day and night^(A) and established the laws^(B) of heaven and earth,^(C)

⁴⁵ that you may be children^(A) of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.^(B)

¹² On the day the Lord gave the Amorites^(A) over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel:
