^15 [a]But ^(A)outside are ^(B)dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

⁴ He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a ^(A)liar, and the truth is not in him.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

¹⁰ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the ^(A)Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and ^(B)I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ^11 (C)None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the ^(D)Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

²² that you ^(A)put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, ²³ and ^(B)be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and that you ^(C)put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Do Not Grieve the Spirit

²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, ^(D)“Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for ^(E)we are members of one another.

^33 (A)But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: ^(B)I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their ^[a]hearts; ^(C)and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for ^(D)they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For ^(E)I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
