    strengthen me according to your word!

^14 (A)Wait for the Lord;
    ^(B)be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord!

^12 (A)I will make them strong in the Lord,
    and ^(B)they shall walk in his name,”
declares the Lord.

²⁹ He gives power to the faint,
    and to him who has no might he increases strength.

³¹ but ^(A)they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings ^(B)like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint.

²⁶ They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;
    their courage ^(A)melted away in their evil plight;
