¹⁴ The Lord is my strength^(A) and my defense^[a];
    he has become my salvation.^(B)

² Surely God is my salvation;^(A)
    I will trust^(B) and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself,^(C) is my strength^(D) and my defense^[a];
    he has become my salvation.^(E)”

² The Lord is my rock,^(A) my fortress^(B) and my deliverer;^(C)
    my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,^(D)
    my shield^[a](E) and the horn^[b] of my salvation,^(F) my stronghold.

²² “Turn^(A) to me and be saved,^(B)
    all you ends of the earth;^(C)
    for I am God, and there is no other.^(D)
23 By myself I have sworn,^(E)
    my mouth has uttered in all integrity^(F)
    a word that will not be revoked:^(G)
Before me every knee will bow;^(H)
    by me every tongue will swear.^(I)
24 They will say of me, ‘In the Lord alone
    are deliverance^(J) and strength.^(K)’”
All who have raged against him
    will come to him and be put to shame.^(L)
25 But all the descendants^(M) of Israel
    will find deliverance^(N) in the Lord
    and will make their boast in him.^(O)

¹⁷ But Israel will be saved^(A) by the Lord
    with an everlasting salvation;^(B)
you will never be put to shame or disgraced,^(C)
    to ages everlasting.

He is my God,^(C) and I will praise him,
    my father’s God, and I will exalt^(D) him.
³ The Lord is a warrior;^(E)
    the Lord is his name.^(F)
4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army^(G)
    he has hurled into the sea.
The best of Pharaoh’s officers
    are drowned in the Red Sea.^[b]
5 The deep waters^(H) have covered them;
    they sank to the depths like a stone.^(I)
6 Your right hand,^(J) Lord,
    was majestic in power.
Your right hand,^(K) Lord,
    shattered^(L) the enemy.
