    therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

¹⁸ The Lord is ^(A)near to all who call on him,
    to all who call on him ^(B)in truth.
¹⁹ He ^(C)fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
    he also ^(D)hears their cry and saves them.

40 I ^(A)waited patiently for the Lord;
    he inclined to me and ^(B)heard my cry.

^6 (A)Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer;
    listen to my plea for grace.
⁷ In ^(B)the day of my trouble I call upon you,
    ^(C)for you answer me.

² Incline your ear to me;
    rescue me speedily!
Be ^(A)a rock of ^(B)refuge for me,
    a strong fortress to save me!
