¹² Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.^{(A) 13} Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord^[a] has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

⁷ Little children,^[a] let no one deceive you. Everyone who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.

²⁹ If you perceive that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who does right has been born of him.^(A)

³² Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.^[a](A) 5 ¹ Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children,^{(B) 2} and walk in love, as Christ loved us^[b] and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.^(C)

³⁶ Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

² But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.^(A)
