^13 (A)Let his ^[a]posterity be cut off,
And in the generation following let their ^(B)name be blotted out.

^7 (A)The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot.

²⁸ For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

^19 (A)He has neither son nor posterity among his people,
Nor any remaining in his dwellings.

³⁰ Thus says the Lord:
‘Write this man down as ^(A)childless,
A man who shall not prosper in his days;
For ^(B)none of his descendants shall prosper,
Sitting on the throne of David,
And ruling anymore in Judah.’ ”

²⁰ You will not be joined with them in burial,
Because you have destroyed your land
And slain your people.
^(A)The brood of evildoers shall never be named.
²¹ Prepare slaughter for his children
^(B)Because of the iniquity of their fathers,
Lest they rise up and possess the land,
And fill the face of the world with cities.”

²² “For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts,
“And cut off from Babylon ^(C)the name and ^(D)remnant,
^(E)And offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.

¹⁰ Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth,
And their ^[a]descendants from among the sons of men.
