⁹ For he satisfies the thirsty,
    and the hungry he fills with good things.^(A)

¹⁰ The young lions suffer want and hunger,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.^(A)

⁵³ he has filled the hungry with good things
    and sent the rich away empty.^(A)

55 Hear, everyone who thirsts;
    come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
    come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
    without money and without price.^(A)
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread
    and your earnings for that which does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good,
    and delight yourselves in rich food.^(B)
3 Incline your ear, and come to me;
    listen, so that you may live.
I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
    my steadfast, sure love for David.^(C)

⁷     who executes justice for the oppressed;
    who gives food to the hungry.

²⁶ The poor^[a] shall eat and be satisfied;
    those who seek him shall praise the Lord.
    May your hearts live forever!^(A)

¹⁶ They will hunger no more and thirst no more;
    the sun will not strike them,
    nor any scorching heat,^(A)
17 for the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd,
    and he will guide them to springs of the water of life,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”^(B)
